The basics

What does Pithies do?
It watches the prices of your Amazon products and up to 5 competitor listings for each. Every Friday morning it emails you a short, plain-English digest of what changed, and between digests it can alert you when a competitor drops its price.
Which marketplaces are covered?
Amazon.com (US) today. More marketplaces are on the way.
Do I need to give you my Seller Central login?
No, never. You can either type in ASINs, or connect your Amazon seller account, where you approve access on Amazon’s own site and we never see your password. Either way, Pithies never changes your prices or listings.
How do I get started?
Follow the Getting started guide. It takes about ten minutes.

Connecting your Amazon account

Do I have to connect my Amazon account?
No, it is optional. Connecting lets you import your listings and current prices in a few clicks. Without it, you add products by ASIN or by uploading your Inventory Report.
How do I connect it?
In Settings, under Amazon seller account, click Connect Amazon, then approve access on Amazon. Then open Products, click + Add products, choose From Amazon and click Show my Amazon listings. Details are in the guide.
What can Pithies see and do with that access?
It can read your listings and your prices. It cannot change your prices or listings, and it never sees buyer details. See the Privacy Policy for what we store.
Which Amazon store does it read?
Your Amazon US (Amazon.com) seller account.
How do I disconnect?
In Settings, click Disconnect and confirm. We delete our access to your seller account. Products you already added stay in Pithies.

Products and competitors

What is an ASIN and where do I find it?
It is Amazon’s 10-character product code. It appears in the listing’s address after /dp/ (for example amazon.com/dp/B01LFQYQ1Q) and under “Product details” on the listing. You can also load the Inventory Report from Seller Central to add many products at once.
Which competitors should I add?
Listings a buyer would pick instead of yours: the same or a very close model, sold new. If you are not sure, open the product and use Find competitors, then keep the matches that fit. If it says the product has no current price yet, add competitors by ASIN for now and try again after the next price check.
Why does a competitor say “Listed as renewed/used”?
That listing is not sold as new, so comparing it with a new item would be misleading. We keep tracking it, but it is left out of your price floor.
What does “Check this competitor” mean?
Our regular check of your competitor listings found a change that may mean the listing no longer matches your product. The note says what changed. Take a look, and use Find competitors to replace it if it no longer fits.
Why does a product say “No data yet” or “Awaiting first update”?
We do not have a price for it yet. New items usually fill in within a minute of adding them (refresh the page). If one does not, it fills in at the next regular price check, around 6 AM, 12 PM or 6 PM Eastern.
Should my price include shipping?
Yes, if you ship the item yourself. Enter the total a buyer pays, because the Amazon prices we compare against include shipping.

Digest and alerts

When does the digest arrive?
Friday morning, Eastern time. Past digests are also on the Digests page.
What is the price floor?
The lowest current price among your tracked competitors that are new and in stock. The digest shows how far your price sits above or below it.
How do price-drop alerts work?
After each price check we email you if a competitor cut its price by at least the amount you chose in Settings (2% to 20%). You are also alerted when a competitor moves from above your price to below it.
Can I turn the emails off?
Yes. Switch the Friday digest and the alerts on or off in Settings. Every email also has an unsubscribe link.
Who writes the digest?
The facts come from the price data. The wording is written with the help of an AI model and can contain mistakes, so check anything important against Amazon itself. The digest reports what changed; it does not tell you what to charge.

Data

Where does the price data come from?
Competitor prices and ranks come from Keepa, which tracks Amazon prices. They are collected on a schedule, so they can be a few hours behind what you see on Amazon. If you connect your Amazon account, the listings and prices you import come from Amazon itself.
Can other users see my data?
No. Your products, competitor lists and your own prices are private to your account. See the Privacy Policy.

Trial, plans and your account

How does the free trial work?
Every account gets 14 days free, for up to 10 products, with no card. The trial starts the first time you sign in.
What happens when the trial ends?
Price checks, alerts and the digest pause. Your products and competitors stay saved, and everything starts again when you choose a plan in Settings.
How much does it cost?
See Pricing. You can change plans or cancel at any time from Settings.
How do I delete my account?
In Settings, under Delete account. This removes your products, competitors, digests and login.
