Privacy Policy

Pithies is operated by Pithies LLC, 971 US Highway 202N, Ste N, Branchburg, NJ 08876. Pithies sends online sellers a short weekly digest and price-drop alerts about their competitors. This page explains what information we collect to do that, who handles it, and the choices you have. Questions: support@pithies.io.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address and a password. Your password is handled by our login provider and stored in hashed form. We never see it.
• What you ask us to track: the product and competitor ASINs you add, product names, and optional figures you enter yourself, such as your price and cost of goods.
• Market data we gather for you: public marketplace data about those products, such as prices, stock status, ratings and sales rank, and the digests we generate from it.
• Settings: your email and alert preferences and your account status.
• Basic technical data: our hosting providers keep standard request logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security and troubleshooting.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use advertising or analytics trackers on the site.

How we use it

• To run your account and show your dashboard.
• To check prices on a schedule and email you the weekly digest and price-drop alerts.
• To write the digest text, using product and price data (not your email address or password).
• To keep the service secure, fix problems and answer your messages.
• To email you about your account or the service. We do not send marketing email.

Who handles your information

We use these service providers, who process data only to run Pithies:

• Supabase: database and sign-in.
• Railway and Vercel: hosting for the backend and the website.
• Keepa: source of marketplace price data. We send it product identifiers (ASINs), not personal information.
• Anthropic: its Claude model writes the digest text from product and price data.
• Resend: delivers our emails, so it receives your email address and the message.
• Stripe: we plan to use it for payments. This page will be updated before paid plans start.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the service and its users.

Cookies and local storage

We store your sign-in session in your browser so you stay logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your login, products, competitors, settings and digests. Public marketplace price history is not tied to you and may be kept. Backups may keep deleted data for a short time before they expire.

Your choices

• Turn off the digest or price-drop alerts any time in Settings, or reply to an email asking us to unsubscribe.
• Change your email or password in Settings.
• Delete your account and data in Settings.
• Ask us what we hold about you, or for a correction or deletion, at support@pithies.io.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and access to our systems is limited. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Pithies is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell account holders by email.
